What herbivore, carnivore and omnivore mean, with sourced examples from Indonesia’s mammals, birds, reptiles and marine animals.

By diet, animals are grouped as herbivores (plant-eaters), carnivores (meat-eaters) and omnivores (eating both). Of the 247 Indonesian animals in this guide whose diet was checked, 64 are herbivores, 142 carnivores and 41 omnivores.
