Published focus

The Coral Triangle Center (CTC) describes itself as an Indonesia-based foundation with a regional scope. Since 2010 it has worked with communities, governments, the private sector and partners to strengthen marine resource management and protect coral reef ecosystems across the Coral Triangle. It describes on-the-ground conservation in Bali, Maluku and Timor-Leste.

Understanding its work

The website describes support for the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area, including zoning, patrol training, codes of conduct for manta ray and mola-mola encounters, and coral reef restoration. In the Banda Islands, CTC describes reef health monitoring and the revival of sasi customary closures. It also runs a Center for Marine Conservation in Bali for training and public outreach, and promotes the Green Fins programme.
