Indonesia animal-disease reports: official sources and how to read them
Access the agriculture ministry’s monthly reports on 11 priority animal diseases. Understand reporting periods, confirmed diagnoses and data limitations.
The agriculture ministry publishes monthly SITREPS for 11 priority animal diseases, based on definitive diagnoses reported through iSIKHNAS. Open the original reports for provincial tables and time trends.
These are reports of disease in animals for the period stated by the source. They are not human case counts, a live risk map or a guarantee that an area is disease-free.

- Read the month and year inside the report. The access date is not the data period.
- Check units and table headings: incidents, cases, villages and animal types are different measures.
- No report does not mean no disease. Do not replace missing data with zero.
- Compare matching periods and definitions. If tables disagree, consult the original source and ask its publisher before deriving a new total.
